Loughborough University has been awarded 3rd place in this year’s What Uni? Student Choice Awards 2014 for University of the Year.  The ranking is based on over 18, 000 student reviews.

Whatuni? is an online prospectus established by students for the benefit of future students. Their website states that they take into account “everything from what the city and night life is like at a particular uni to the quality of the accommodation and lectures”. The University of the Year award is given to those universities that have been rated the highest for each category by current and past students. 1st place was awarded to Swansea University, followed by Glasgow School of Art.

Loughborough was also awarded the number 1 spot for its student union, (as always!) number 2 for ‘uni facilities’, and ‘clubs & societies’ and number 4 for ‘job prospects’.

The University of the Year award marks a climb for the university from its 4th place position last year, congratulations Loughborough!
