Fear not! After being forcibly removed by the council at the end of last year the Lego men of Leopold Street look set to return.

Charnwood Borough council have now granted planning permission to local business man Raffaele Russo who was ordered to remove all his art last year, including the Underground mural in Ashby Square that has been there since 2013.

The iconic Lego Men will now return, this time near Carillon Court car park alongside other works such as the Edward Scissorhands work.

After the art was ordered to be removed, public backlash was strong and now, six months after the order was made, it seems that the public have been listened to and some artistry and character will be returning to Loughborough town centre.
