Loughborough Student's Media have selected their new section heads for Label, LSUTV and LCR for the year 2013-14, forming part of the Media Senate.

Current Music Sub-Editor Ella Stanbrook, who has been writing for Label since 2011, has been chosen to lead Label in its sixteenth academic year as a magazine, taking the reigns from Grace Meritt.

Ella told Label Online, "I am delighted to have been appointed as the next Label Editor. Over the last two years during my time writing and working for Label, I have generated lots of ideas that I aim to implement this year, as well as learning the necessary skills to carry out this role effectively.”

“I think Grace has done a fantastic job and I am thoroughly looking forward to working on maintaining the high standard of content that Label produces, whilst at the same time making efforts to increase Label’s reach around campus and in town.”

Tom Traies, LSUTV Head of Sport Production, takes over from Connor Pearce as the next LSUTV Station Manager, in what has been a highly successful few months for the station. LCR Station Manager has been confirmed as Luke Piazzon, who has been running a successful Monday morning breakfast shown on LCR for the past year.

Head of Media Elect Helen Crossley has told Label Online, "I am hugely excited to start my role as Head of Media next year, now that I have selected such a talented Media Senate team to work with. All of the new section heads were exceptional candidates who will be able to help drive LS Media forward and build upon the amazing work that Connor, Matt and Grace have done this year."

Whilst we are currently waiting to see who is to take up the positions of Assistant Head of Media, Head of Hall Media and Head of Loop Studios, Dan Leedham has been confirmed as the new Head of Technical as LS Media. Dan was awarded for his incredible technical achievements during the 2013 Executive Elections, being 'highly commended' for Best Technical at this year's National Student Television Awards (NASTAs).

Loughborough Student's Media are still looking for applicants to be part of our media committees for next year. If you are interested in journalism, television, radio or music production, please e-mail media@lufbra.net to find out more about the available positions.
