Label’s Assistant Editor, Anna Cooper, brings us the lowdown on what the recent Budget means for mental health. As the budget is released for 2018/2019, it throws the subject of mental health into the public eye even more. With the recent month of Movember having focused upon and raising awareness of men’s mental health, I had a look into the statistics which show why we all need to talk. In the UK men remain three times as likely to take their own lives than women, and in the Republic of Ireland four times more likely. The stigma surrounding mental…

Label Volunteer, Isaac Cave brings you a spellbinding review on the new Netflix Original The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. Hands up if you remember watching Sabrina the Teenage Witch as a child? Based on the classic character from the original “Archie” comics, it gained a bit of a cult following (no pun intended) back in the day and those of you who are familiar (again no pun intended) will find Netflix’s new series starring the half mortal, half witch to be a blast. The arc of the entire series follows Sabrina (played brilliantly by Kiernan Shipka) as she prepares…

Content warning: violent transphobia, racialised violence I’m many things, including an average middle-distance runner, a Scorpio and a superfan of 1983 critically acclaimed movie Flashdance. It’s a day to remember those who have been murdered because they have identified…

Returning Label volunteer, Isaac Cave, brings you our latest music piece on Clean Bandit. As someone who is a classic rock lover and grew up listening to the likes of AC/DC, Electric Light Orchestra, The Rolling Stones, I consider a fair amount of music made past the 90s to be little more than white noise. An exception to this however, has been Clean Bandit, whom I have followed since their rise to fame with the smash hit “Rather Be”. With the release of their latest album What is Love? Grace, Jack and Luke continue to display their phenomenal talent,…

Label Volunteer, Mayowa Fagbure, brings you our latest review on Netflix superstar show, Black Mirror. Regardless of the genres you enjoy watching, Black Mirror is a show you definitely need to add to your watchlist. Created by Charlie Brooker, it takes an interesting look at the future of a world driven solely by the advances of technology and its addictions. This could even be our world in 50 years, who knows? But seriously, if you’re looking for a series that’s slightly unnerving and completely unsettling, then bingo you’ve found a winner! The creator even stated in an interview with Channel…
