Loughborough put in another solid team display and got the victory they needed to secure passage to the promotion play-offs with an 8-4 win over Durham 2s. The tie began with the four singles clashes, with James Kirkpatrick and Gav McKinlay earning comfortable straight-set victories over David Salazar and Henry Parocki respectively to put the hosts firmly in command. It certainly was a day to chant “Loughborough Walks on Water” as the Ladies Hockey team stormed to victory with a 4-1 win against Durham yesterday. Adding to the many wins Loughborough had across ‘D-Day’, the Women’s 1st’s team performed an amazing 70 minutes of hockey for their supporters. With music playing out loud and a commentator on the microphone announcing the score, this lively, fast paced match was not one to miss!
