Katy B has been confirmed as the headline act for this year's Graduate's Ball this coming July, otherwise known as Sky Ball.

Katy B is most famous for her top ten hit 'Katy on a Mission', the title track from her debut album, and has collaborated with the likes of Ms. Dynamite and Magnetic Man. 2011 was her most successful year, raking in nominations for the MOBOs, Virgin Media Music Awards and the Mercury Music Prize.

Joining Katy B at the Sky Ball will be DJ Fresh, Trevor Nelson and an Adele tribute act – Perfect for the Skyfall themed celebrations.

Breaking onto the scene with 'Gold Dust', British drum and bass producer DJ Fresh has had an incredibly successful two years, including two number one singles in the UK. Trevor Nelson MBE continues Loughborough's long-standing love of Radio 1 DJs, adding to appearences from Danny Howard, Vernon Kay and Huw Stevens during Freshers Week 2012.

As well as our headline acts, there will also be a fireworks display, performers around the Union, and the customary fairground rides – always a hit at Grad Balls!

VP Finance and Commercial Services revealed the headliners, and the various other acts confirmed to be attending, during grand reveal in conjunction with LSUTV. Last week the theme for the Ball, taking place on July 19th, wasconfirmed as a Skyfall theme nicknamed Sky Ball.

Mitchell had this to say before the reveal: "I'm very happy with the line up we have. Our venue department have worked tirelessly to get such big name acts in a time when students union are struggling to sign people. We have a great mix of genres and now I can't wait for it!"
