Rory Mitchell will stand for the position of VP Finance and Commercial services uncontested, it was revealed at the Elections Launch Party tonight.

Mitchell has revealed that he considered running for the position of VP Democracy and Communication stating, “I definitely wanted to do one of the positions.”

He reiterated however that he was not put off by the other candidate going for this position, Ali Cole, but “felt I had more to offer this position!”

Mitchell also confided that he did not feel he was a so called Big Name on Campus (BNOC) as he has not gone through the tradition Hall Chair route and as such feels he can offer a different perspective.

Although not getting off to a particularly good start to the campaign, due to some members of his team not being available tonight, he maintained that he is extremely excited for the next couple of weeks.
