Autumn has well and truly arrived in Loughborough, and with this change in weather comes a change in fashion too. Spanish store Zara is quick off the mark this Fall/Winter with their fresh and innovative designs, and younger TRF range.

The brand’s latest collection is bang-on trend this fall/winter, and provided some of the best runway looks for us to emulate. The chic and classic designs offer something for everyone, no matter how fussy you are.

Zara offers us a preppy, edgier take on the girl-meets-boy trend with their darker androgynous tailoring. All of the key trends catered for this season include elements of smart tailoring and clean, precise lines making any outfit selected from the collection remain timeless, classic and versatile.

To achieve smart, feminine elegance with a hint of masculinity incorporated into the aesthetic, explore the juxtaposition of a traditional masculine blazer in deep autumnal colours such as plum, brown and mustard, paired with sheer, loose shirts and a well-tailored, dark denim jean.

For a more casual outfit, Zara’s TRF collection boasts a more younger, playful take on the trends; pair slouchy yet luxurious separates in bright patterns and block colours for an exciting and vibrant look. Alternatively, try teaming an oversized, heavy-knit boyfriend cardigan over a buttoned-up, casual shirt and ankle-length jeans, and finish the look off with a pair of preppy loafers worn with socks.

The latest collection for Zara also explores a revived trend this season; the glamorous 1940’s. Zara’s collection boasts a choice of pea coats in traditional shapes in a beautiful combination of jewel-like colours and traditional materials that will maintain your look as understated and traditional. A long skirt mixed with a tweed jumper also works well for this trend, and will keep you snug for the winter months.

The collection also gives you the opportunity to try wearing clashing textures, mixing leather and chiffon for example to create an edgy look that hints towards the also-popular fetish trend.
