Jessie J’s incredible rise to fame continued on Wednesday night as the British pop princess picked up a cool four MOBO awards.

Despite performing in a leg cast throughout the year, Jessie J neared a clean sweep with four awards from five nominations taking: Best UK Act, Best Newcomer, Best Album for Who You Are and Best Song for Do It Like A Dude.

Dappy and Tinchy Stryder stole her final nomination, securing best video for their hit single Spaceship.

Other notable awards went to Adele (Best R&B/Soul Act) despite prolonged vocal problems, Tinie Tempah (Best Hip Hop) and Rihanna (Best International Act) amongst a star studded line-up of hosts and prize givers.

The awards ceremony also paid tribute to Amy Winehouse throughout the night, with a closing performance from her goddaughter Dionne Bromfield who sang a beautiful rendition of Love Is A Losing Game.

The 15th MOBOs were indeed a success according to Kanya King, the awards’ founder, especially for the outstanding Jessie J.
