Loughborough MCCU bowler Maurice Holmes has had his bowling action reported to the England and Wales Cricket Board, according to the BBC.

The 21-year-old, who took 3-46 on his first class debut against Northamptonshire in April, had been reported by umpires twice. The ECB are to allow the off spinner to continue playing until a decision on the former Kent bowler is reached.

Holmes' "doosra" is being called into question, according to the BBC. The ECB believes that the delivery sees the right armer's elbow bend beyond the permitted fifteen degrees.

Since making his debut, Holmes has represented Warwickshire on seven occasions, taking ten wickets in all competitions.
