Last night saw a number of atrocious terrorist attacks hit the city of Paris, as extremists carried out seven co-ordinated incidents, which have currently left at least 129 people dead, and over 350 injured. The terrorists attacked popular Friday night destinations, including the Stade de France, and a popular bar and music venue.

There has been overwhelming support and respect flooding social media sites in the past 24 hours, and tomorrow, Loughborough University will also be paying their respects with a minute of silence, organised by the LSU French Society. It will take place at 4pm around the Hazlerigg- Rutland fountain and will be followed by a rendition of the national anthem.

Please come down and show respect for the victims and their families: flowers and candles can be brought as a token of support. Join the Facebook event here.
