Loughborough University's learning portal, LEARN, was attacked by hackers on the evening of January 20.
Students were greeted by a screen that read 'hacked by wrhg' and 'improve your security', along with a catchy tune on a continuous loop.
The website was taken down and has since been put back online, in fully operational order.
