With the summer term beginning on Monday 26th April, the University had planned to take a similar teaching approach as in Semester 1 in the autumn term. Due to updated government guidelines, at the end of the Easter break, all London students will not be able to attend live lectures until May 17th. LSU Media has conducted a poll of 270 students to find out what matters to them, here are the results… With the Loughborough Students’ Union Elections set to begin at the start of May, we sent out a survey to all students in order to find out what they care about, as well as what they are involved in. We received 270 responses, which equates to 1.45% of the student population. Our notes on methodology section details some caveats with our data. Lockdown restrictions are easing, leading many students who are finishing their degrees this year (and last year) to wonder what’s happening with Graduation this summer.  In February, Loughborough University announced that Graduation would be taking place for both 2020 and 2021 graduates in July, with 2020 Graduation taking place on the week commencing 19th July, and 2021 Graduation taking place the week after. Despite breast cancer being an important issue for women, many are unaware of the BRCA gene mutation and what they mean for those who are found to carry it.
