One of our heads of social media, Emma Ames, tackles the view that millennials aren’t well-read or cultured. Millennials don’t read?! Someone should have let me know… I saw a headline whilst scrolling through twitter that caught my eye: “What is millennial culture? There’s no writing. None of them read books”. The statement came from American Psycho author, Bret Easton Ellis. Now, I HAVE read American Psycho. How ironic, I know. What was the point you were trying to make again, Bret? This man is an excellent writer. He is someone who should be an icon to hopeful writers.…

In this month’s article, I will let you know who my top 3 style saviours are and how I recreate some of their looks! 1. Audrey Hepburn I’ve fallen in love with her style from the moment…
News Editor, Izzy Brann, discusses the events and repercussions from this Monday. Discovered at 16:43 on Monday, firefighters were quickly called to the blaze at the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. Firefighters worked overnight to extinguish the flames, which quickly reached the roof of the cathedral, ripping through the wooden interior and toppling the spire. Luckily, the spread of the fire was halted before it could destroy the iconic towers and the world famous stained glass windows. The fire was eventually extinguished at 08:00 the following morning. The extent of the damage, both fire and water from the ensuing…
Label’s Music Editor, Henna Amin, catches up with artist Ash Radford before his Coffee House Sessions performance. Tell us a little bit about yourself, where are you from and how did you get into music? I’m from the UK, and grew up between south of England and the Isle of Jersey. I started playing drums when I was 11 and soon after guitar. My Grandad played banjo and guitar, built his own guitar, and my dad played piano, so I’ve come from a musical family. But I can’t be 100% sure what inspired me to start playing. Tell us…
After attending the My Story talk, our Editor, Amie Woodyatt, sat down with TV and radio presenter, and 2016 Strictly Winner, Ore Oduba. How are you enjoying being back in Loughborough? It’s so surreal. I hadn’t driven through campus since I left, so today it’s been mad, cause I’ve driven through campus… I barely ever went to the library, but I was excited by seeing the library, and seeing the size of campus that I hadn’t seen in years. I think it’s just seeing this place, cause it made such a big difference for me; I can’t say it enough,…
