LSU Action are delighted to announce their recent award for their incredible work!
Awarded for recognition of their amazing work with local assisted housing, Ronald West Court, this is a huge achievement for the section. The ‘Working Together Award’ was given as part of the Spirit of Housing and Care 21 Awards.
For 18 months, Action has hosted a variety of events in collaboration with Ronald West Court. From regular Sunday lunches as well as gardening and carol singing, every effort was hugely appreciated and indeed rewarded!
The Spirit of Housing and Care 21 Awards 2015 recognised this continued dedication and collaboration, awarding Action and the home the Working Together Central Award.
Over the past 18 months, the volunteers and residents have formed strong bonds with each other. Everyone involved in the project get on so well, and the section and home have created a lasting relationship. LSU Action are even hoping to expand this by working with another Housing and Care 21 home in the local area in the future.
LSU VP Action Rosie Harvey says: ‘I could not be more thrilled for this recognition for our volunteers. The work so hard and have really developed the relationship with the residents here. They truly are amazing individuals!’
