Why am I running to be your Loughborough Students’ Union President?
1. I have been through the treadmill ‘university’, in three different countries, I understan
d how it works and how I can support students to make their lives better. I am interested not only in the experiences of undergraduates but also PGTs and PGRs and I also fully understand life as an international student.
2. I am experienced in it. I have been on the Executive team of ARGEOS for 3.5 years- 2.5 years as Vice and one year as Chair. ARGEOS is the organisation for German speaking students of GIS, Surveying and similar in German, Austria and Switzerland.
3. I have shown my dedication to work with and for other students over my time at Loughborough and in my previous Universities, namely through my consistent contributions to LSU Media- and I would like to do this to a greater extent for one more year.
Why do I not get a real job?
Yes, I have offers for jobs that are better paid but I like to work with and for students, which I have already proved before. Loughborough is a great University full of passionate students who deserve the best experience that we can give them. Following our recent awards for Best Union and Best University, I believe that I am capable of helping to enhance the Loughborough Experience as your next Union President and have a wide range of experiences necessary to execute this.
