Loughborough Uni can boast achievements such as raising over £1 million for 146 different charities, being home to over 60 diverse societies and winning 'Best Student Experience' for five consecutive years. Coming shortly after being announced as 'University of The Year for Sport', maintaining its excellent reputation, Loughborough has also been ranked second in Lloyds Bank's 'Quality of Life' survey.
Lloyds' survey involved considering a range of sources to assess factors such as accommodation costs, sports facilities, crime rates, students' earnings potential, and course satisfaction.
88% of students said they were satisfied with the course and rated their degree programmes highly. Loughborough was also commended for its sporting excellence, measured by the British Universities and Colleges Sports (BUCS) overall championship. The university has continued to win these championships for 33 years.
In addition to this, it was noted that the area has a relatively low crime rate and the high standard of social life encouraged for students was highlighted too. With over 100 bars and pubs to choose from, including classics such as The Orange Tree and The Griffin, Loughborough does its best to avoid boredom.
Loughborough University continues to consistently achieve and improve each year. And we'll be looking forward to what the academic year of 2013-14 brings in.
