Loughborough Women's Football Club will take on an Australia National Schools team on Sunday January 29 as part of the Australia National Schools UK tour.

The game, which kicks off at 2pm on the Brockington pitch on campus, will be a massive opportunity for the club and its' players to test themselves against international opponents

The squad will be looking forward to a break for the grind of their usual Sunday League football and BUCS action, where the first and second XIs both sit second in their respective leagues.

President Peter Simmons was contacted by the team from Down Under to arrange the fixture for the touring team which contains players ranging from 14 to 17-years old. Despite Loughborough having a much older squad, many of the Australians have represent their country at youth level.
