Continuing the theme; Loughborough boasted a superb show of form at the recent GB Rowing Team Winter Assessment trails held at Boston, Lincolnshire.
Jonny Walton and Ed Couldwell both performed strongly to seal first and second in the sculling event, for the under 23 category
Despite difficult conditions, Jonny rowed to an excellent fourth place overall in the mens event only beaten by Olympic rowers including the current number 1 ranked sculler Alan Campbell.
After the event Jonny commented: “My performance is definitely a good stepping stone and something for me to work off for 2012. It was also a good bench mark to both trust my training and to know that I'm not too far away from some of the GB squad guys.”
