What are the main points of your manifesto?
- “Boom boom week”, a chance to get free training workshops for basic skills
- “A ticket to media” more opportunities to flourish your skills
- “Media showcase” student-led competition for your pictures and videos to get recognition
What experience do you have that makes you suitable for the role?
I am a good painter and came second in an international painting competition, I also have a marketing certificate and experience of social media for different societies, also departmental committees. Through that I have management experience, organisation, and propose innovative ideas for the societies to organise their events.
How will you encourage membership?
At this time, the LSU Media section do not have any communication with the department SIOs; we can offer them more training to learn skills. In my manifesto I have organised some events for students to get some basic skills in all of the Media sections like the Media Showcase. Our department SIOs do not have so much experience or access to training, we should provide it to them. The information they have is old fashioned, we can update their skills.
How will you unify all areas of media to work collaboratively?
Media is not too visible in the departments; it must be more visible. We cover more sport, but we have to show a wide variety of culture; we can invite some personalities who are role models to be included in projects – it’ll increase publicity to the university. I’ll also propose some ideas how we can give more collaboration with mutual arrangements.
What section do you think needs more support?
The magazine, if we can do free prints for students each month so that students know what’s going on and see what’s happening every month that will be good for students.
If you could be a biscuit, what biscuit would you be?
- Chocolate? Let’s go with chocolate digestive.

What are the main points of your manifesto?
- Increase training provided to volunteers
- Increase the number of external trips for volunteers
- Increase the number of students doing their own tv/radio shows
What experience do you have that makes you suitable for the role?
Lots of photography, last three years running social media accounts, spare time video projects, take part in media projects, alongside plenty of other things
How will you encourage membership?
When we do the fairs, I’ll make there’s lots of cool equipment, clips in the background as what we do – that’s what enticed me to join!
How will you unify all areas of media to work collaboratively?
Put on projects that make sure they involved everyone, e.g. general election. Projects which involve every single section.
What section do you think needs more support?
More radio shows – I feel that not many students get involved in the radio shows, they don’t KNOW they can get involved, and we can provably offer more training in terms of radio shows
If you could be a biscuit, what biscuit would you be?
Custard Creme!
