A week today, Label will be attending The Clothes Show Live at Birmingham’s NEC to bring you all the news, gossip and exclusives from the annual event. If you’ve already got your ticket, here’s why you should be excited. If you haven’t, these 10 facts will have you racing to get your hands on one!

  1. They have AMAZING acts performing this year!

The Clothes Show all centres around the ALCATEL ONETOUCH Fashion Theatre in which the latest styles and designs from high street brands including New Look and River Island will be paraded down the catwalk to a fantastic playlist. Not only is the show in association with Capital FM but Rae Morris, Charli XCX (who Label will be seeing during their visit), and Ella Eyre will be performing. Girl power! These will be hosted by radio and TV favourites Gemma Cairney, Alice Levine and Rick Edwards (swoon!), respectively, and will Jamie Laing of Made In Chelsea fame will be holding the fort on Monday and Tuesday, when some surprise music acts will take to the stage. Think the Victoria’s Secret catwalk but with added fashion!

  1. You’ll be able to pick up designer items at bargain price!

Designers such as Pringle, Mawi and MuuBaa will be filling all your fashion needs in the designer outlet across the weekend, so whether you’re familiar with the brands or want a one-off bargain to amaze your friends with at FND, you know the place to be next weekend!

  1. The show is in its 26th year!

These guys clearly know how to throw a party…

  1. Want to look fantastic on Christmas Day?

Hair and beauty experts will be on hand all weekend to let you in on all the secret tips and tricks of the industry. You will be able to dazzle friends and family this Christmas time with make up from Models Own, Rimmel and Barry M and hair products from Lee Stafford (my favourite!)

  1. Want to escape the hustle and bustle and enter a pampering paradise?

Then The Clothes Show Live’s very own Pamper Lounge is for you! Get your hair styles into curls, flicks and waves, or try and new nail polish to make you sparkle; these are just a few of the options available at the Lounge across the weekend. Just make sure you pre-book to avoid disappointment – this is back by popular demand!

  1. All self-respecting magazine brands are sponsoring the event:

This means you can pick up magazines throughout the day, allowing you to further explore the latest styles and bargains of the high-street when you get home!

  1. Perhaps you fancy a new job? Modelling perhaps?

Select Model Management sponsor the event, and from previous experience I know modelling scouts and beauty pageant organisations are keeping their beady eyes open across the weekend, looking for new talent to get down in their books. This event literally is the place to see and be seen, so while you’re browsing the bargain buys and must-haves, someone may very well have their eye on you too…

  1. Liberty is there in a big way!

You are sure to have heard of Liberty, famous for their beautiful prints, and in association with the Fashion and Textile Museum a special exhibition will be available to see during the event. Liberty has been seeping into the high-street and modern fashion recently, with shops like Jack Wills stocking Liberty print dresses in their summer ranges. So whether contemporary clothes are your bag or you are more of a vintage lover, you’ll be fascinated by the 140 years of fashion history this exhibition has to offer! You can even take part in a workshop!

  1. Just about every reality TV star in the world (who aren’t currently Down Under in I’m A Celebrity…) will be there.

Andy Jordan, Binky, Jamie Laing, Billie Faiers, Joey Essex, Lauren Pope, Charlotte Crosby… Need I say more?

  1. Last but not least, there is so much good food on offer!

Smoothies, cocktails, gourmet sandwiches, pub grub, swish buffets, or a simple coffee and cake – whatever your taste there is something to satisfy the appetite worked up by your retail therapy!
