To Start
Start with a base coat of clear to protect your nails, black varnish is notorious for staining.
Apply black and white varnish alternately on each hand. Let the first coat dry before applying a second layer.
Patterning
Use a white nail art pen such as Models Own to draw on your design on black nails, we choose spots, strips and checker board shapes but anything goes so check out our gallery for inspiration.
Use a black nail pen such as Models Own to finish off the white nails. This trend works best with a mix of prints; so try dogtooth, letters or peace signs.
