Exam stress made you pile on the pounds? Worried about finding a house for next year? Why not let today be the day you start afresh, as Health and Wellbeing Week arrives on campus to save students.

From mental matters such as depression and anxiety, to sexual issues and financial troubles, the week offers a chance for you to question whether you are really living well, and have those questions both supported and solved.

Alongside Wellbeing the week is set to be packed with activities and opportunities to encourage a healthy start to the new semester. With the end of January comes the chance to forget those endless days spent sitting revising and get up and involved in the tonnes of classes and competitions also running throughout. Why not go swimming, learn to breakdance, walk up Beacon Hill or even relax with some Yoga? The timetable of activities is virtually endless. 

Imago will also be offering Catered Halls of Residence a ‘Healthy Food Option’ throughout the week, allowing students on campus to tweet #DishOfTheDay and share their fresh food creations with others. 

Speaking to Label earlier this morning, Vice President Welfare and Diversity Georgie Court revealed why the week ahead is set to be one to remember: 

“It’s great because we have a chance to cover the benefits of things like recreational sport, having a balanced diet and looking after your Mental Health – which can often be forgotten about at University. I am really excited about the week and am most looking forward to the Well-Fayre which will be taking place on Wednesday at the Students Union from 10-4p.m. The Students Union and the University have worked together on the week to make sure it is accessible and fun for all. Look forward to seeing you there!”
