There is often nothing better than a Christmas market to get you into the festive spirit and with the season already in swing, where better to soak it all up than the ever-popular Frankfurt Birmingham Christmas Market. Carolyn Brown and her team of Label photographers, as well as myself, got caught the atmosphere and have shared the best snaps with Label Online.

Now in its eleventh consecutive year, the largest German market of its kind returns to the city of Birmingham. What makes it so special is its picturesque wooden chalets that line the streets of central Birmingham, creating a bustling winter wonderland to rival the market scenes of Europe. There are hundreds of stalls selling perfect gifts and treats for all; handmade toys and crafts, decorations, jewellery and clothes, chocolates and candy – and some authentic German tastes including Bratwursts and Glühwein.

The Market runs from November 15th to the December 22nd and is open everyday from 10am to 9pm. Though it is often busy and over crowded at the weekends, it’s one of the best ways to get into the Christmas spirit and bag a few unique gifts for your loved ones. So, if you’re struggling for ideas or have been bogged down by coursework, get yourself to Birmingham this weekend and get that Christmas shopping started. With the Bullring Shopping Centre just next door to the market, you’ll find something for everyone!
