This year, the Exec has changed, but what are the other positions alongside the top five exec? Editor, Amie Woodyatt, explains below…
The other section chairs this year will fit into the structure below, and will be overseen by the top five Executive positions.
Societies Chair
Replacing the Societies EO, this paid sabbatical role will oversee the Societies section, supporting their committee and the plethora of societies here at Loughborough. They will support current and new societies, organise socs events and communicate with other sections of the Union to ensure society constitutions and events are in order and run smoothly.
Rag Chair
Replacing the Rag EO, this paid sabbatical role will oversee the Rag section, supporting their committee, Hall Reps and volunteers around campus. They will work to continue organising Rag events and working towards the Loughborough million.
Action Chair
Replacing the Action EO, this paid sabbatical role will oversee the Action section, supporting their committee, Hall Reps and volunteers around campus. They will oversee new projects and ensure there is communication within the section, Union and greater Loughborough community.
Media Chair
Replacing the Media EO, this unpaid role will work alongside a paid intern in the Media Office, while doing their degree. They will oversee Media projects, communicate within their section and the wider Union, and ensure there are opportunities within the different Media sections for volunteers across campus.
Enterprise and Employability Chair
Replacing the Enterprise and Employability EO, this paid sabbatical role will oversee the E&E section. They will work to support students looking to develop their careers, working with the careers network and sections around campus.
International Chair
Replacing the International DO, this unpaid role will oversee the International section while doing their degree, supporting their committee and international students across campus. The role will work especially closely with Welfare and Diversity and the International section of the University.
Postgraduate President
Replacing the Postgraduate EO, this unpaid role will oversee the Postgrad section while completing their studies, supporting their committee and postgrad students across campus. The role will work especially closely with Education and help organise postgrad events and careers development across campus.
College President
Replacing the College EO, this paid (by the College) sabbatical role will oversee the College section, act as a liaison between Loughborough Union, University and the College, and support College students when getting involved with the University.
Athletic Union Clubs Officer
Replacing the AU Intern, this paid sabbatical role will oversee the AU Clubs and work closely with the Sports EO to work towards greater diversity and inclusivity within sports at Loughborough. They will help AU Clubs with different aspects of their clubs, events and BUCS organisation and budgeting.
