If any of you are like me and love to window shop, or just browse online and dream about all the clothes you would buy if you had endless amounts of money- then I’m sure you have come across what seems to be Springs new hottest trend: The Skort.
Having only ever worn one of these to play sport, and from what I can gather, is what most of us associate this garment with, I have been somewhat surprised to see the skort making its way into stores as one of the most stand-out must-haves of the season.
For those who don’t know, the skort is quite literally a skirt and shorts combo. It therefore offers the comfort and confidence of a playsuit (in that you never having to worry about underwear slips!), whilst maintaining the feminine appearance of a skirt.
Whilst the weather is still a little chilly however, I recommend saving the skort for a night out. They look both sophisticated and fun, and combined with a jazzy top and some heels you will definitely stand out from the crowd. As soon as the sun comes out however, I can guarantee that skorts will be making an appearance all over campus! Team them with a causal tee and a light-weight cardi, or a floral vest top and some statement jewellery to give off that summer vibe for a great new look this upcoming Season!
