From gracing our very own student union’s ‘Room 1’ to sold-out concerts the world over, Tinie Tempah has hit a new musical high. His widely awaited follow up album to the double platinum Disc-Overy, has dominated the charts. Featuring artists such as Emeli Sande, Labrinth and 2 Chainz, Demonstation highlights Tinie’s progression as an artist with the main focus on this album being trap music.

Originally touted for release in 2011, the album suffered many setbacks; however it was clearly worth the wait. Demonstration is an album, which is all about Tinie, and of course a slew of a dozen or so British stars. With vocals ranging from the grime-MC vibes of Dizzee Rascal through to the beautifully melodic voice of Sande, the selection of featuring artists in this album is impeccable.

The single ‘Trampoline’ released in the build up to the album, has reached the UK Singles Charts at 3, and lives up to its name as it has a bouncy and upbeat rhythm to the song. Another song to listen out for, is ‘Children of the Sun’, produced by Eshraque "iSHi" Mughaland featuring the vocals of Swedish singer, John Martin. Patrick Chukwuemeka Okogwu’s (better known as Tinie Tempah) rapping ability combined with an enticing chorus led this song to number 6 on the UK singles charts.

One of the standout songs on this album has to be Tinie’s collaboration with fellow grime artist Dizzee Rascal, ‘Mosh Pit’. Produced by Chase and Status, this song has a more dubstep feel to it, with what some may call a heavy drop, followed by Tinie’s and Dizzee’s enticing rap battle.

Tinie Tempah’s world tour kicks off in March 2014, Bowen Hills, Australia.
