Tuesday December 4 sees the return of the annual Loughborough University Housing Bazaar held in the James France Building on campus. This year’s housing bazaar follows on from the new campaign led by Loughborough Student’s Union labelled ‘STOP, WAIT, LOOK’, which has the aim of tackling some of the main issues students find problems with when renting.
The aim of the campaign is to:
STOP– Don’t rush into renting
WAIT– Make sure you are getting the best deal
LOOK– Ensure that you know what your options are.
The campaign is aimed at ensuring students do not rush into renting a house under the false allusion that there are not enough houses for the amount of students in Loughborough. In actual fact, there are far more beds than there are students so the Students Union is encouraging students to wait until they are sure about the people that they want to live with, find a house that matches all of their needs and, until they feel that they have got exactly what they want, get the best deal possible with their landlord.
One of the best ways to ensure that students meet these criteria is to go to the housing bazaar on the 4th between 11am and 3pm and meet the accredited landlords so that they are able to find the best deal.
