February 23 and the first big Union night of the elections – Hey Ewe. All candidates were out in force at the queue and in Piazza, armed with campaign material, sweets and their branded teams of campaigners. All except Ali Shahid that is, who's campaign manager told Label tonight will remain in Leicester Royal Infirmary until the morning at least.

As Label Magazine gets put to bed, I can give you a sneak peek into Friday's special bumper issue. Not only does it contain all of the candidates' manifestos and information on how and where to vote come the first week in March, but we also have an excellent 'Only Gay In The Bubble' feature.

One of the two writers for the piece has followed it up today by asking each Welfare and Diversity candidate how they would look to represent the homosexual community of Loughborough if elected. Look out for that on Label Online within the next day or so. One such candidate, Georgie Court, got on the front foot earlier today with the first flash mob of the 2012 campaign.

Three days in, tomorrow plays host to the newly branded Candidates' Quiz. It will be intriguing to see who steps up and who trips up in the first of three sets of hustings. If you can't make it to the EHB, Label will be providing you with live, full and comprehensive coverage via our live online updates. Don't miss it.
