Royal Opera House ambassador for Loughborough, Hannah Redfern, tells Label all about the upcoming live- stream available to you on campus very soon:

Want to see The Royal Ballet LIVE without leaving campus?untitled

Well you are in luck! Forget expensive train tickets and theatre seats, Royal Opera House Loughborough have teamed up with FLIX Cinema and LU Arts to bring the action live from London right to your doorstep!

What? The Royal Ballet’s Viscera/ Afternoon of a Faun/ Tchaikovsky Pas De Deux/ Carmen.

When? Thursday 12th November at 7:15pm.

Where? Cope Auditorium

How much? We have an amazing student deal- 2 tickets for £10! The deal applies on the door only, so make sure you get here earlier to avoid missing out!

As if that wasn’t enough- we are bringing you an all star cast, including some of ballets biggest names- Marianela Nunez, Steven McRae and of course, the man himself, Carlos Acosta!

This is going to be a memorable night for ballet as Carlos Acosta, one of the greatest male dancers of the generation, retires from ballet and dances his last performance at the ROH.12189714_10153700452142579_9170283913958175262_n

As such, we are giving everyone who attends the chance to win a CARLOS ACOSTA SIGNED POSTER, which he very kindly sent us especially for the event. You would be mad to miss out on this incredible opportunity to be a part of ballet history.

Make sure you follow us on twitter – @ROHLoughborough and give us a ‘like’ on Facebook -‘Royal Opera House Loughborough’ for behind the scenes insights, the competition and general info about the ROH!

We have more events coming up throughout this year, such as another LIVE Royal Opera House screening and of course the fantastic Loughborough Students Dance Competition, where last year a lucky Loughborough Student won a day backstage at the Royal Ballet along with a World premiere performance! Who will be next?
