Surrender-up the Beliebered charts and turn your attention to the impassioned offerings of Loughborough’s very own ‘one-man-band’- ‘O’
With a hearty Mumford influence, armed with jangly guitar riffs, humble harmonica, tambourine and kick-drum to meat-things-out; Owen Crane is one super-talented man.
On a rare occasion a piece of music really grabs you and O’s debut recording of ‘Devil to the Deep’ with its’ passionate intensity and catchy rhythm is impressive stuff. Sure to bring the foot-stomping, folk-dancing side out in all of us and transform the room into that of a ‘Nasty’-fuelled hoedown after lock-in, Owen produces mind-niggling melodies that are truly representative of his commitment to contemporary folk music.
