Wednesday, the 5th of March, saw the results night of the Student Leadership Elections. With twelve candidates running, it was surely an intense night for all those waiting on their results. With 55 hours of open voting and over 4,000 votes cast – the LSU saw the highest voting turnout yet.
Election night took place in the Basement, with current Executive Officers hosting the night and announcing the winners. Results were drawn shortly after 7pm, announcing the next Executive Officers for 2025-26. They are:
Mia Jackson – LSU President
Frankie Suckling – Sport EO
Lucy Palmer – Student Communities EO
Rebecca Schofield – Academic Experience EO
Harry Huffen – Equity, Diversity & Inclusion EO
With the new Executive Officers introduced, the LSU also released the votes for each candidate. It was certainly a tight race; with a sparing of 87 votes between the two candidates for Student Communities Executive Officer.

Congratulations to all the winners! Exciting times are head for the new Executive Officers. A huge well done to all the candidates who ran – campaign week has been nothing short of stressful and chaotic. All candidates did an amazing job at campaigning, raising awareness and supporting the elections. We can only wish them the best for the future.
