With 50,672 votes to leave, Loughborough has has its say regarding whether it wants the UK to stay in the EU.
Out of a total of 94,258 votes, 54% have voted to leave the EU in Charnwood. Currently at the UK is looking to leave the EU with a 52% – 48% split.

The first ballot box was in the Loughborough Leisure Centre by 10.10pm and results were announced at 4am.
Meanwhile, the pound sterling has had a volatile night after dropping from a high of $1.50 to the pound, to $1.33. This is the lowest it has dropped since 1985.
The turnout from the Charnwood Borough Council was 70.46%. This is below the national average of 72%. The Charnwood Borough Council consist of Loughborough and surrounding towns and villages. The borough covers a population of 155,000+.
