Inspired by the likes of R&B kingpins Miguel and The Weeknd and Hip-Hop heavyweights Dr Dre and Tyler the Creator, Liverpool four-piece When I Am King are also heavily influenced by alternative artists, such as Radiohead, from whom the band draw their name (‘Paranoid Android’ – “When I am king, you will be first against the wall”).
