Last night saw all the months of planning, days of campaigning and sleepless nights come down to the all important moment: Results Night. The atmosphere in Room 1 was incredible, with campaign teams out in force to support their friends who have worked so hard to be elected by the student body to hold VP Executive roles. With 7752 votes cast-the most that have ever been had in a Loughborough Students Union Election-all who campaigned must be proud that they were part of this achievement, and were able to garner so much interest from students in this years Exec Elections.
Having followed the candidates closely, and getting to know them personally, the whole of the Label Committee would like to congratulate all involved. All campaigned passionately and all proved themselves to be worthy contenders. With four roles uncontested (and results on what will happen to the role of VP College still undecided), and other positions such as VP Sport, VP Rag and VP Societies all proving very popular, it has been an incredibly interesting Elections, with it being very difficult to try and determine the outcome. But results are now official, and the students have chosen their winners. Label are positive that your new Exec will be successful and will thrive to make sure we can all enjoy our time here at Loughborough as best we can.

Rosie Harvey has been elected as the next VP Action after receiving 6,020 votes, against RONs 472.
After three rounds of votes Jenna Holmes was awarded with the title of VP Societies. The first round saw RON being eliminated after receiving 271 votes. Holmes had 2,868 votes, Alex Williams had 1,937 votes and Leoni Seville had 1,334.
Bryn Wilkes received 5,385 votes, with RON receiving 1,044. Wilkes will be re-prising his role as VP Media, and told Label Online last night that he is “going to do his absolute best to have another successful year in Media”.
Last night Gemma Lomas was elected as the next VP Welfare and Diversity, receiving 3,581 votes. Steph Noble received 2,409 and RON 273.
With there only being one round of voting Rachael Lynch had an impressive win last night, receiving 3,555 votes. Andy Tribe had 1,582 votes, Robyn Varley had 1,060 and RON received 234.
Luke Thomson has been awarded the role of VP Sport. The most popular position in this years Elections went into four rounds of voting with RON being eliminated in the first round with 129 votes. Thomson received 2,712 votes, Tom Haslam 1,768, Rom Hickson 1,208 and Lauren Gough 989.
Kailey Hazeldene has been elected as the next VP Education after receiving 5,703 votes, compared to RONs 693.
James Bowker has been elected as the next VP Finance and Commercial Services, receiving 4,342 votes. Charlie Staunton received 1,749, and RON 341.
Max Crawford has been elected as the next VP Union Affairs after receiving 5,895 votes, with RON only getting 394.
The biggest role on Exec has been awarded to Ed Reckless. Reckless received 3,175 votes in the first round, Adam Sellers received 2,248 and RON was eliminated with 1,389 votes.
