On Saturday 7 December, the Union’s Shakespeare Society are hosting a charity Scavenger hunt. All the proceeds will be going to Rainbows Children's Hospice. The scavenger hunt will start at 1pm outside the Union lawn and each group will be assigned a questionnaire to guide them through the hunt which will take place on and off campus.
There are several prizes from local companies including Revs, Odeon and the Cheesecake Shop and Pizza Hut have kindly agreed to supply food to the event with all their proceeds also going to Rainbows.
The Shakespeare Society have been trying to contact as many other societies, halls and individuals as possible to make this event a large money raiser and success.Registration is now open with single tickets costing £3 and £10 overall for a team of four.
Last year the society was one of the only two to complete the £1000 challenge and aims to succeed again this year. This year, the Shakespeare Society have taken a different approach. Last year, the Union was awash with their bake sales, but after no less than two fires (no really!) the society is focusing on larger events and hopes to involve other groups into their charity events, setting up the scavenger hunt this term and an Oxjam event next term (so musicians please keep your ears to the ground for further notice!)…You might still see a cake or two though!
It should be amazing fun and raises some serious money for an amazing charity, so please, please join on theirevent page and take part!
