Freshers Fortnight, fast approaching, is going to be two weeks of absolute mayhem! The Union will provide you with some of the best nights of the week and will leave you loving every second of it! From Stupid Tuesday to FND, there is a wide variety to choose from and the cheap prices definitely make it a bonus.
Although the Union is likely to become your ‘one-stop shot’ location it is important not to forget about the clubs in Town, as they also offer some cracking nights out. Keep reading to find out a bit more about Echos, Mansion, Rain, Vodka Revolution and Wild.
Echos – While not as polished and fashionable as clubs such as Mansion or Revs, this doesn’t stop Echos from being one of the best Saturday nights out. You can take your pick from the ‘Poptastic’ Red room or the ‘Sub-Urban’ White room, so swap your heels for some flats and get your groove on. But be warned – one does not simply enter Echos sober (we all know the meme I’m referring to)!
Mansion – Despite having only been around for less than a year, Mansion has well and truly earned its place on the Loughborough club scene. With popular Monday, Thursday and Saturday nights, as well as a trendy house style layout, there has appeared to be some competition between neighbouring club Revs. So, will Mansion’s up and coming 1st Birthday celebrations and complete redecoration do enough to pull in the masses again this term?
Rain – Like many of the other clubs, Rain hosts various nights on Monday, Thursday and Saturday. Despite the selection they are best known for their ‘We Love RAIN’ Monday nights, with cheap entry it’s sure to be a good night. What’s more, members from Geordie Shore, The Only Way Is Essex, The Valleys and Made In Chelsea have all made guest appearances at the club. Star struck much?
Vodka Revolution – Having previously hosted the successful ‘Rewind’ events on Thursday nights Revs is back with a new event called SYNC. Described as being ‘Loughborough’s premier nightspot’ it certainly doesn’t disappoint, so dress to impress! But, will they be able to put up with the touch competition from the soon to be newly refurbished Mansion?
Wild – Sunday nights don’t have to be boring, so forget that 9am Monday lecture (for now anyway)! Get down to Wild and have an amazing time with DJ Nicky P, who plays a mix of student floor fillers as well as cheesy pop tunes.
