The NaSTA executive have announced that both LSUTV and YSTV have bided for the opportunity to host the National Student Television Awards conference in April next year. Each affiliated station has a vote, with voting open for a week.
The Loughborough Students��� Union��bid, on behalf of LSUTV, outlines why Loughborough will be the perfect location to host the conference, as it did in the year 2011. The bid outlines that the perfect��Location, Accommodation, Conference Facilities and, most importantly, the ability to throw the best possible��Awards Night Ceremony, Loughborough is the best Union host NaSTA 2014.
Loughborough Students Media is one of the most prestigious media centers in the country, meaning that we have the capabilities to deliver an exceptional media package for the awards. From already being in talks with our unions tech department to develop a system that will easily handle the volume of data that we will be receiving, to editing all of the footage to an industry standard and being able to provide an amazing live broadcast through our recent investment in fiber cabling throughout our union building, solely for live broadcasts, meaning that we can broadcast with 8 cameras in full high definition. We have strong links with our media alumni, ranging from Lord Sebastian Coe to CBBC newsround presenters, we are very confident that we can provide excellent, prestigious speakers and judges from both our alumni base and further afield.
