Following the success of Loughborough’s Christmas Jumper Day last year, tomorrow it is back! Join in at 12:30 in Shirley Pearce Square, where you’ll be asked to donate £2 to Save The Children and wear your Christmas jumper with pride!

The square will be filled with stalls with all sorts of Christmassy goodies from food and clothes right to performances from Stage Soc and Tuxedo Swing. Official Loughborough Christmas Jumpers will be seen everywhere, in the winning design by Lucie Baker- Wyse, as well as hall Christmas Jumpers and various other designs.

Label caught up with Steph Noble, Loughborough University CSR Intern ahead of the event:

“We are really excited for tomorrow’s event. It is a chance to get in the festive spirit while raising money for Save the Children. We have also heard a rumour that a basketball club in the USA is attempting to beat us, so this is our chance to increase our lead and make sure we keep hold of our record!”

An event not to be missed, the Loughborough Christmas Jumper Day is set to be great fun, will raise a lot of money for charity and hopefully secure our Guinness World Record for the most people wearing a Christmas Jumper in one place!

What better day than December 1st to begin the festivities? Hope to see you there, LSU Media will be there in force- watch LSUTV’s promo to get you even more excited for tomorrow!
