There have been weeks of fan anticipation, reporter gossip and A-list red carpet posing for the cast of the Hunger Games saga. But as they prepare for their last premiere and we wonder whether Katniss Everdeen will succeed in her revolution, or who might die in the last film, we are also plunged in to amazement by the eye catching fashion statements sported by the stars. It appears that Jennifer Lawrence has handled the character of Katniss Everdeen well so far, but how is she approaching the demands of the red carpet in terms of fashion?
Having signed a contract with the glamorous House of Dior it isn’t much of a shock that, on the majority of occasions, Jennifer Lawrence has worn the brand. There have been weeks of fan anticipation, reporter gossip and ench label. At the Beijing premiere, Lawrence is spotted wearing an ice-blue-coloured gown. With a beautiful lace pattern netting which is elegantly draped across the red carpet, the star was sure standing head and shoulders above the rest, and the fiery character of Katniss Everdeen was also evident through her daring choice of red lipstick. Once again, Lawrence is spotted wearing an outfit of Dior’s in an expansive black gown. The open sides of the dress, whic are drawn together by three gold chains, again represent the brave and courageous character of Katniss Everdeen.
Not to forget the simplistic but striking Ralph Lauren dress worn at the Madrid premiere. The dress is designed to draw in Lawrence’s waist, whilst beautifully expanding towards the lower part of her body, covered in frills and a sweep. Each of her fashion statements appear to reflect a facet of Katniss’ character. Let’s hope that this classic black dress doesn’t represent the darkness of death for her in Mockingjay Part Two.
Despite Jennifer Lawrence looking flawless in each of her outfits, a red carpet event involving the star would not be complete without a fall. That’s right, she’s gone and done it again. Just like the Oscars, Jennifer Lawrence’s heels and dress just couldn’t help becoming intertwined, causing her to fall over face first. I bet the high heels will be one thing she definitely won’t miss about the premieres!
Now that we are up to date with our courageous star’s fashion, be sure not to miss her play the character of Katniss Everdeen in the last ever Hunger Games. Part Two will be released in the cinemas on the 20th November. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for us!
