It’s campaign week and the candidates are working hard to get their message out. The Presidential race is full of candidates, with five runners who have thrown their hat into the ring to hopefully win your support. Among these candidates is Priti Trivedi. Priti currently studies at Loughborough University London where she is attaining a MSc in Design Innovation Management. Priti has a bachelor’s in architecture. Her academic and career experience are paramount to her campaign as she can present herself as an extremely diligent yet creative candidate. Our Media team sent Priti a few questions to help the voters understand her drive and goals, read below for her answers!
What are your top priorities for your time as President if elected?
My priorities will be student wellbeing, career development, establishing more industry connections, supporting students led initiatives that makes LSU more inclusive, expanding accessibility, increasing support for diverse student groups and fostering a culture of wellbeing will guide my efforts to ensure LSU offers a supportive and inclusive space for everyone to thrive academically and personally.
What good work would you look to carry on from this year?
I want to continue strengthening student engagement initiatives confirming equal involvement of all students. Enhancing outreach efforts and improving event accessibility will create a more inclusive environment. Additionally. I will continue to advocate for students ensuring services such as mentoring, career development and mental health support are readily available but also adaptable to changing requirements.
What experience have you encountered that improved your ability in this role?
My experience as institute representative for institute of creative futures has enhanced my advocacy, leadership and collaboration skills. Apart from this, my academic journey so far has helped me understand student’s concerns and solve them. My professional journey has enhanced my problem-solving and leadership skills which helps me in solving problems creatively and effectively. Apart from that I have represented university for design competitions. These experiences have made me a strong and proactive representative of the student body.
Where does your personal drive to take up this position come from?
I am inclined towards creating an LSU that fosters inclusivity and transparency. My experiences have shown me the importance of student welfare, and I want to ensure every
voice is heard. Being a student myself, I can relate to the challenges others face. This drives my commitment to create meaningful, positive change in student life by prioritizing their well-being and representation.
What should voters expect from your campaign?
During the campaign I will engage directly with students to understand their concerns clearly and ensure that their voice is heard. My campaign is about tangible developments, addressing instant student needs while also working toward long-term solutions that help everyone.

Yes definitely, I am open to student’s questions and feedback. Voters can reach out to me through social media and in-person. I will make sure to address their concerns and find solutions that benefit everyone.
