- Head of Sport

In charge of finding sports content to cover, and to run and create Match Report content.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Responsible for sport output of LSUTV; under the Match Report brand and beyond.
- Oversee and lead a team of LSUTV sport volunteers.
- Liaise with the LSU Media Head of Sport to ensure that LSUTV Sport content is relevant to sporting events on campus.
- Play a key part in the running of the weekly magazine show in regards to sports content.
- Attend committee meetings.
Opportunities:
- Be a part of the award winning Match Report brand.
- Gain an understanding of sport broadcast and sport media.
- Be at the forefront of building upon the media profile of the best sporting University in the country.
Useful previous experience:
- Someone who has a good understanding of sport at Loughborough University and potentially has links to the AU.
- An interest in world sport and events.
- An understanding and interest in television.
Average time commitment:
- Around 5 hours per week.
- Additional time during busy periods such as BUCS finals, D Day etc.
Responsible to: LSUTV Station Manager
- Head of Creative Projects

In charge of short film content, animation based content and fostering new creative shows and projects
Duties and responsibilities:
- Help create and help volunteers develop new creative content for LSUTV
- Help the LSUTV committee and volunteers with their propositions, shows and ideas
- Liaise with Head of Design, Marketing & Online on the look and design of new shows
- Attend committee meetings
Opportunities:
- Develop knowledge of TV industry
- Create new content
- Exciting new role within LSUTV’s committee
Useful previous experience:
- Confidence with creating new creative content
- Innovative thinking and record of getting ideas off the ground
Average time commitment:
- Around 5 hours per week
- Additional hours during busy periods, such as Exec Elections and Freshers.
Responsible to: LSUTV Station Manager
- Head of Entertainment

In charge of Entertainment based programming such as comedy, nights programmes, cultural shows, and interviews with acts playing at the union as well as new proposed shows.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Support regular entertainment shows such as Freshen Up, My Passion and more.
- Effectively and regularly communicate with producers to make sure shows are well planned and regularly produced to a high standard.
- Support with producing regular content in coordinating entertainment and culture based content.
- Assign producers to shows and support and develop volunteers ideas for new shows.
- Attend committee meetings.
Opportunities:
- Develop knowledge of TV industry.
- Steer the direction of the stations’ Entertainment output.
Useful previous experience:
- Leadership/training abilities.
- Planning skills.
- A keen interest in developing new show/output ideas.
Average time commitment:
- Around 5 hours per week.
- Additional time during busy periods such as Exec Elections and Freshers.
Responsible to: LSUTV Station Manager
- Head of News and Factual

In charge of finding News related content to report on for Newsflash. Will be particularly involved with Exec Elections and other Factual / Documentary content. Will network to be ahead of the curve and announce news as it happens.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Support Newsflash or a similar news show to be regular content.
- Effectively and regularly communicate with producers to make sure shows are well planned and regularly produced to a high standard.
- Contribute to and support a regular live magazine-style show.
- Ensure footage is filmed, edited and produced in a reasonable time-scale to ensure content is still relevant and up-to-date.
- Attend committee meetings.
Opportunities:
- Develop knowledge of TV industry.
- Gain a technical knowledge of how a station runs.
Useful previous experience:
- Passion for creating news and finding stories on campus and nationally.
- Understand what is needed to make an engaging news piece.
Average time commitment:
- Around 5 hours per week.
- Additional time during busy periods such as Exec Elections and Freshers.
Responsible to: LSUTV Station Manager
- Head Editor

A knowledgeable person that knows how to create an engaging edit. They will push the creative boundaries for edits.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Responsible for signing off all edits, whether that is done by you or a volunteer.
- Work with volunteers to show them our post-production branding (such as end credits).
- Recruit and onboard new and existing volunteers to use Adobe Premiere Pro and other software.
- Develop the style and feeling of LSUTV content.
- Work with the rest of Exec to brainstorm innovative ideas for LSUTV.
- Manage expectations for when content will be ready to go live across our platforms.
- Attend committee meetings.
Opportunities:
- Develop knowledge of TV industry.
- Gain knowledge of technical aspects of a television station.
Useful previous experience:
- Technical experience.
- Team leadership.
- Training experience so you can train up volunteers to support you.
- Organisation so the team know when content is going live.
Average time commitment:
- Around 5 hours per week.
- Additional time during busy periods such as Exec Elections and Freshers.
