Oreoluwa Adeola: Manifesto

My name is Oreoluwa Adeola. I am currently studying MSc International Management at School of Business and Economics, Loughborough. I’m also currently an Erasmus exchange student studying MSc consulting at the Audencia Business School in Nantes, France. It has been a journey to get to this point in my life were consistency, determination, and hard-work is key. It brings me joy to study at Loughborough university and as such, it’s nurtured the desire to improve the experience for postgraduates in both Loughborough and London campus.

To improve the experience of all postgraduate students I am running for the post of postgraduate executive officer. I conducted an interview with current students and previous alumni of Loughborough university. A few points were stated but the ones of major concern were the integration of postgraduate in sports, accommodation and social events. The lack of tailored career guidance for postgraduates. I want to use my knowledge of time abroad to inspire potential postgraduates to the opportunities of studying abroad.

Based on the interviews carried out, Loughborough is very good at the Academic levels and can still be improved. I’m not a stranger to being the voice, I am the course representatives at my exchange university, I was the events manager for the Afro-Caribbean Society Liverpool and LJMU (2014 and 2015 respectively. If elected I would personally dedicate time and effort to pacify the stated concerns. Every student be undergraduate or postgraduate needs a listener, a voice and a mediator to act on their behalf.
