With the charts now firmly set on a Friday release, we thought rather than run down the top 40, we’d take a look back at some of the best number ones since music began (well, charts began). Bringing you everything from eighties classics to noughties bangers, make sure to be here, every Friday, for a flashback of some of the biggest chart hits.

Up this week: Spiller feat. Sophie Ellis Bextor – ‘Groovejet – (If This Ain’t Love’)

The biggest selling vinyl hit of the millennium, ‘Groovejet – (If This Ain’t Love’), is a sure fire dance floor classic. Peaking at number one way back in August of 2000, this is a track made for a Friday night. As irresistible as it is catchy, the song stayed at the number 1 spot for a week before Madonna knocked the track off the charts with ‘Music’.

But never mind that, stacked with a killer disco beat and ever fresh vocals from electro favourite Sophie Ellis Bextor, make sure you’re spinning this one at your pre’s tonight before heading to FND.
