Students have ranked Loughborough in the top 5 across the country in the National Student Survey (NSS). 83% of student finalists voted to give the university one of its best rankings to date, with an average score of 91% across 7 categories.

This is not only an increase on last year’s score of 89% but is also a significantly above the national average of 87.1%, all which makes Loughborough the highest ranking university in the East Midlands by some distance.

The University of Surrey topped the survey, which asks students to answer honestly when asked about studying their course at their university as well as their overall satisfaction, yet beat Loughborough by less than 1%.

On top of this Loughborough Students’ Union also ranked highly, placing 3rd among all students unions in the country. Union President Jess Excell called the ranking a “fantastic achievement” and one which “we hope to build on again next year”.

These new place rankings will be updated to the Unistats web site in September, just in time for students who may be searching for a University via clearing. As these are some of Loughborough’s best placings yet, we can only hope that the next few years will see even greater accomplishments.
