The University Marketing team have listened to the feedback given by students in workshops, via emails and comments, and worked to incorporate Loughborough’s Coat of Arms into the new proposal. The proposal seeks to represent exactly what the university is about and will be used online and for marketing and promotional purposes.

The new logo maintains the much loved shield shape, in a slightly modernised form, but uses only the purple, keeping the logo much simpler in colour. One of the main aims of the redesign is to ease the use of the logo online.

Students and staff are welcome to share their opinions on the new proposal via email before the 10th August. Emails should be sent to engage@lboro.ac.uk.

The previous backlash on the octagonal design has clearly prompted an improved relationship with the students and staff who make up the institution, encouraging greater engagement and opinions in order to improve the identity of our award winning university.

Further information on the rebrand can be found on the university website
