Flaws by Bastille

Label Music's song of the week this week has to be given to Flaws, the new quirky single from South London based foursome Bastille. Although released that little bit too late to be the feel good tune of the summer, the catchy synthesised beat and heart felt lyrics refuse to be suppressed by the onset of winter.

Despite Dan Smith’s vocals being reminiscent of Nizlopi, this song is more electronic than their others, often prematurely categorised into the pop genre. But after a few listens, particularly to the brutally honest lyrics, the bands indie-rock roots become more apparent. There were clearly no ‘flaws' to be masked on this new track, and as the bar has been set so high for a follow up tune, we eagerly await the release of their album ‘Bad Blood’ in March 2013.
