Freshers 2011 is now over! My fourth freshers, these two weeks have had the same trend of early starts and late nights as previous years experienced as a fresher and a committee member, but, my goodness, being on Exec seemed to take 'busy' to a whole new level!
From our 9am briefings to finishing at 2-3am in the morning after a night of marshalling and making sure everyone got back safely, every one of us had been run off our feet by the end. Voiceless and full of freshers flu, we had seen a successful committee presentation before the freshlings arrived, helped out, introduced ourselves and presented to every hall in Loughborough. We also sang 'Loughborough Walk on Water' countless times, led the 50/50 presentations and saw a truly amazing Sing-Off.
It seems almost impossible to sum up in a simple, short blog everything that's happened and I can't deny that it has been truly exhausting, however it has been one of the most incredible experiences of my life and I will never forget it.
